“Up The Garden Path” Demonstration with Sue Thompson

On Tuesday 10th July, Sue Thompson joined us for a demonstration titled "Up The Garden Path".

Sue took us on a wonderful horticultural journey, incorporating a wealth of garden foliage within her floral designs. The arrangements displayed a grand diversity of colours, forms and textures, giving a real flavour of summer:

It was a trip down memory lane for Sue too, as she talked about how she became interested in gardening and plants, and how this eventually lead her to becoming a demonstrator.

It was wonderful to see Sue and hear all about her experiences, and we all came away with fresh ideas on how to use the greenery growing all around us (although let's hope we get some rain soon!).

There is no demonstration in August, as we take a well-earned summer break to celebrate our 65th Birthday with a Celebration Luncheon.

Our next demonstration event is The Materialist on Tuesday 11 September.

Nick Grounds, an excellent flower arranger and humorous presenter, joins us for this demonstration. Nick finds time to indulge his passion for arranging flowers and entertaining audiences in his auctioneering work: twice-weekly he attends nursery, plant, fruit and vegetable sales in Cambridge.
